Sharing our 100th Day Collections

For one of our centers we had each child count out their 100th day collections. We gave them an organizer to help them so they could put one object in each of the numbered squares. We had 100 paper clips, 100 pieces of pasta, 100 stickers, 100 buttons, 100 lollipop sticks, 100 pieces of Legos, 100 pennies and 100 pieces of popcorn kernels!

100th Day Trail Mix

Every year we make a 100th day trail mix. I have the parents send in 10 different small snack items. Each child gets to count out 10 pieces of each of the 10 different snacks. Then we wrote out the recipe to go with it.

President's Day Measuring Activity

Another goodie from Pinterest...I'll admit that I'm not the best artist in the world. I drew a life-size picture of Abe Lincoln on butcher paper and hung it up in the classroom. Each child got a turn to get measured and we wrote down their names wherever they came up to on Abe. Most of them were around his hip area.
...they were amazed at how close I was to Abe's height!

100th Day Cup Structure

This was another idea found on Pinterest and my colleague Mrs. Lamont did it with her class and I thought my Kinders would enjoy building with all those cups. They are very much into building with blocks and other toys so I was curious to see what they would build.

100th Day of School Banner

I saw this cute idea on Pinterest and knew my Kinders would just love it to celebrate the 100th day of school!

They LOVED it!! :o)
